How to play

Trier is a tile-matching and territory control game set in the Mosel Valley. Players place tiles on a board to match colors and patterns, expanding their controlled regions. The goal is to build the largest connected territory while outmaneuvering opponents. Each match earns points, and territorial control multiplies your score. With simple rules but deep strategy, every placement matters as you compete for dominance on the board.

Tips

  • Matching three tiles of the same color scores 30 points.
  • Control adjacent tiles to claim larger territories for bonus multipliers.
  • Plan ahead: blocking opponents' territory expansion is as valuable as expanding your own.
  • The board wraps around edges, so consider wraparound strategies when placing near borders.
